Sedella is tucked
away in the foothills of the Tejeda and Almijara mountain
ranges with Maroma as a
backdrop. It is close to the source of a river where the
countryside is green and lush.
The village has all the facilities needed for day-to-day
living including shops, restaurants, bars, two hotels,
a church and a pharmacy.
As with many of the villages in the Axarquia region
Sedella has a long history. The layout of the streets,
with their twists and turns, is a reflection of this
ancient past. One of the interesting buildings of the
village is the church with its’ square tower topped
by an octagonal roof. The surrounding countryside offers
a variety of pursuits which attract visitors and residents
alike.
Málaga international airport is approximately
a one-hour drive and the coast can be reached by car
in 25 minutes.
