Sayalonga is situated in
the Algarrobo/Sayalonga valley. The village is close to
the Sayalonga river and the surrounding countryside is
lush and green.
The area is famous for its local wine
and its nisperos.
In the village there are shops, supermarkets, a bank,
bars, restaurants, a pharmacy etc. The village has a
charming square with a large pedestrianised area.
The church dates from Moorish times and the present
structure was built during the Mudéjar period.
One fascinating sight is the circular cemetary which
is belived to be unique.
Sayalonga is approximately a 45 minute drive from Málaga
international airport and a fifteen minute drive from
the coast.
