Corumbela is a tiny, peaceful village situated on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara mountains close to the National Park.
It is believed that the Romans called it La Paloma (pigeon) as the village apears to fly above the valley when you first see it. Corumbela is a true “get away from it all” place. The surrounding area is ideal for walkers and trekers.
Although small, the village has a couple of shops and a bar that serves food. For access to more facilities and restaurants the villages of Archez, Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta are within 5, 7 and 10 minutes drive respecively.
Access to the village is excellent via recently tarmacked roads and the coast can be reached within approximately 20 minutes. Málaga international airport is approximately an hours’ drive away.
